Disbelief, or kufr, is fundamentally the opposite of faith (Iman). Just as faith encompasses words, actions, and inner belief, disbelief can manifest through words, actions, beliefs, doubts, or even neglect. This concept is unanimously agreed upon by the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah. As Ibn Taymiyyah explains, disbelief does not always stem from outright denial of God or His Messenger. It may arise from doubt, suspicion, indifference due to envy, pride, or the pursuit of desires that lead one away from the truth. (Majmu` al-Fatawa, 12/335)
Given the gravity of kufr, it is essential for a person to be mindful of their beliefs, actions, and speech. To fully grasp the dangers of disbelief, one must first have a clear understanding of what true faith (Iman) entails and the responsibilities it carries.

- Section OneIt is undeniable that differences of opinion exist on almost every religious issue. While this was not the intended outcome, it is an inevitable reality due to the inherent diversity among human beings. Differences may arise from varying levels of understanding, lack of evidence, reliance on weak or unauthentic arguments, or even personal and material interests. In addition to these factors, debates on Aqeedah often lead to accusations of hearsay and misunderstandings. The question of rationality further complicates these discussions, as what may seem rational to some may appear irrational to others, creating further tension in matters of Aqeedah.4
